Chinese e-commence startup Pinduoduo stands out from various e-commence platforms by its strategic decision
Pinduoduo is probably the fastest growing company since the rise of China Mobile Internet.
On the evening of November 20, Pinduoduo released the third-quarter results of 2019. According to the financial report, in the past 12 months, the number of active buyers of the platform reached 536.3 million annually, a net increase of 150.8 million over the same period last year, which achieved the largest single quarter growth since the listing.
It means that Pinduoduo has officially become the platform used by 500 million people. The number of Pinduoduo’s users reached 536.3 million, which was far more than 334.4 million of JD.com in the same period, and more and more close to 693 million of Alibaba.
It's hard to imagine that in the highly competitive Chinese e-commerce market, it took only four years for Pinduoduo to break the confrontation pattern of Alibaba and JD.com.
